What are the courses offered under the Continuing Education Program?

Currently, the UPOU's Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) offers 9 non-formal courses under its Continuing Education Program (CEP). These courses run for 12-16 weeks and are delivered fully online through the UPOU Learning Management System (MyPortal). They are grouped into three clusters:

 

 

A. Human and Social Development Cluster:

  1. Caring for the Child with Special Needs (CCSN); and
  2. Impact Assessment and Poverty Alleviation: Focus on Technology and Capacity Development (IAPA)

 

B. Environmental Cluster:

  1. Integrating Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Policies, Plans and Investments toward Inclusive and Sustainable Agricultural and Rural Development (CCA& DRM)
  2. Organic Agriculture (OA); and,
  3. Responding to Climate Risks in Agriculture and Natural Resources Management (RCRANRM).

 

C. Entrepreneurship Cluster:

  1. Introduction to Electronic Commerce (eCom);
  2. New Enterprise Planning (NEP);
  3. Personal Entrepreneurial Development (PED)
  4. Simplified Accounting for Entrepreneurs (SAfE).
